Its fantastic news that the Cumbrian Sustainable Warmth Consortium of District Councils received £19,955,000 funding from the UK Government in December.
The funding aims to boost Cumbria’s local economy to retrofit a target of 1,310, mainly private sector homes, with energy efficiency measures, including low-carbon heating.
If your household income is less than £38,000 and your home has a poor energy efficiency rating, you could qualify for a grant to pay for:
- External wall insulation
- Internal wall and room in roof insulation
- Air source heat pumps (Low Carbon Heating)
- Ground source heat pumps
- Solar PV
- Cavity wall, underfloor and loft insulation
- Smarter heating controls
- Single to double glazing
