Kendal Farmers Market
Kendal Farmers Market is a genuine farmers market bringing local, fresh produce direct from the farmer and producer to Kendal on the last Friday of every month. Farmers Markets create a direct connection between how food is grown, reared and produced.
By eating locally produced food, the reduction in carbon is significant. Many of the farmers have onsite slaughter houses which reduces the food miles even further and creates fresh produce. The stalls are often manned by the farmers themselves which gives you the opportunity to ask when, where and how the produce has been produced.
